On Thursday, January 4 at 2037 hours, the Robesonia and Womelsdorf Fire Companies along with Western Berks EMS were dispatched to an unknown injury crash, with a vehicle on it's roof in a field, in the 600 BLK of W. Penn Ave. in Heidelberg Twp. Additional calls reported a subject possibly trapped in the vehicle and Rescue 18 of the Western Berks FD was added to the call.

Chief 26 arrived on scene and confirmed a single occupant trapped. Engine, Attack and Ladder 47 made the response. Upon the arrival of Engine 47 and Attack 47, crews began stabilization, stretched a precautionary handline and deployed our combi-tool. The driver was extricated within 7 minutes upon our arrival and turned over to EMS and South Heidelberg Twp. PD, who is investigating.
