This morning at 0654 hours, the WVFC was dispatched to assist the Bernville FC with a house explosion with injuries at 84 Stump Lane in North Heidelberg Twp.

Deputy 29 arrived on scene and confirmed an obvious explosion inside the residence with structural damage, no active fire and had an injured occupant and held the assignment to Co. 29, Ladder 47 and EMS.

While assisting with the investigation L47’s crew extinguished a small smoldering fire that was discovered inside the home.

The incident is under investigation by the PA State Police Fire Marshal.

As Ladder 47 was about to go available from this call, a structure fire assignment was dispatched to 5046 Bernville Rd in Penn Township and L47 was released to respond to this however was later cancelled while responding. L47 was available by 1130.
