On Thursday, June 1 at 1642 hours the WVFC was dispatched on the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) assignment for a working house fire at 11 Maywood Ave., South Heidelberg Twp., assisting the Western Berks FD.

Engine 47 responded and upon arrival the crew set up for RIT until the incident was placed under control and the RIT crew was released from the scene.
