Just before 4pm the WVFC along with mutual aid were dispatched to the Messy Pig at 109 E. High St. in Womelsdorf for smoke from the building.

Deputy 47 arrived on scene with normal conditions from sides A, B, and D however as he began his 360 walk-around found smoke pushing from the C side of the building.

Engine 47 arrived and stretched an attack line inside and found a smoker on fire inside the building which was quickly extinguished. The fire was placed under control in 15 minutes. The building was ventilated and was turned back over to the building tenant after it was deemed safe.

The fire appears accidental and there were no injuries. Thanks to our mutual aid partners for their assistance.
