On Tuesday, January 24, at 1910 hours, the the WVFC along with several mutual-aid fire departments were dispatched to assist the Robesonia FC with a house fire at 23 S. Wayne St. in the borough. Berks Dispatch reported a back porch on fire.

Tuesday nights are the weekly training nights for Robesonia and the WVFC so apparatus from both companies were out the door and on scene quickly. Deputy 26 arrived on scene with a working fire and the initial crew from Robesonia was able to quickly extinguish the fire preventing further damage to the home. Crews from Ladder and Engine 47 assisted at the scene with overhaul, ventilation, and metering the home.

There were no injuries and the the WVFC was on scene for an hour.
