On Thursday, September 1 at 1950 hours the WVFC along with numerous mutual-aid fire companies were dispatched to assist the Rehrersburg Fire Co. at Dieffenbach Chips, 51 Host Rd. in Tulpehocken Twp. for a building fire. Companies responding could see a smoke header and Chief 27 requested a 2nd alarm after arriving on scene with a working fire.

Ladder 47 arrived on scene and set up for roof operations, assisting with extinguishment, ventilation and overhaul. Engine 47 was assigned the dump site engine and drafted water out of a portable pond to supply Engine 27 which laid a 5" supply line. Tanker 47 stood by with additional tankers for water supply.

The WVFC was on scene for almost 3 hours.
