| Today around 915am, the WVFC was requested as the 2nd due RIT team to supplement the 1st due RIT team on a warehouse fire at the Amazon facility, 3563 Mountain Rd., in Upper Bern Twp., assisting the Shartlesville Fire Co.
Initial units were originally dispatched for a fire alarm activation but found a working fire on the 4th floor of the warehouse facility and the assignment was upgraded.
Engine 47 responded with a crew of 5 and upon arrival set up for RIT in the lobby but was later reassigned to assist with checking for extension and overhaul on multiple floors.
The company was on scene for about an hour. This was the WVFC’s first response in our history to Upper Bern Twp.
