SILO FIRE ASSIST TO MT. AETNA

Early this morning at 0416am, the WVFC was dispatched as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) for a silo fire at 27 Mill Rd. in Tulpehocken Twp., assisting the Mt. Aetna Fire Co.

Upon Ladder 47’s arrival, they were reassigned and set up for aerial operations due to access to the silos. Personnel utilized a 1” water line and silo nozzle to extinguish a fire at a chute near the top of the silo.
