Yesterday while the WVFC and Newmanstown Engine 34 were on the scene handling a fire alarm in Womelsdorf Borough, at 3:27pm Berks County DES dispatched an accident with entrapment involving an overturned dump truck on N. Church St. between Manbeck Rd. and Stricker Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. Also dispatched was the Robesonia FC, Western Berks FD, and Western Berks EMS.

Engine and Attack 47 cleared the previous call and responded. Assistant 47 arrived on scene confirming a dump truck on its side that was carrying soybeans with the driver still in the truck, establishing "Heidelberg Command".

Units from 47 arrived first and WVFC personnel removed the truck's windshield and the driver walked out on his own. The scene was turned over to the tow company to upright the truck and farmer for clean-up.
